Smiley Children Society’s Holistic Approach to Education Continues to Benefit Rural Communities
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: A child’s success depends not only on access to education but also on continuous academic support, proper nutrition, and an encouraging learning environment. Working with this comprehensive vision, Smiley Children Society has been implementing impactful educational initiatives across Andhra Pradesh since its establishment on January 19, 2019.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization has steadily expanded its outreach from its headquarters in Mandapeta to its branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through its volunteer-driven model, Smiley Children Society continues to support children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by addressing multiple aspects of their educational journey.
One of the society’s primary initiatives is helping children enroll in government schools. Volunteers regularly visit rural communities to identify children who are not attending school, interact with their parents, explain the long-term benefits of education, and assist them with admission formalities. By simplifying the enrollment process, the organization helps ensure that more children gain access to formal education.
These efforts have been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who commended the dedication of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and acknowledged Founder Prudhvi Moses for his leadership in promoting educational awareness.
“Education opens doors to opportunities that can transform entire families. Our mission is to make sure that every child, regardless of economic circumstances, receives the chance to learn, develop, and achieve their aspirations,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To ensure that students continue progressing academically, the organization conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara. The classes provide individualized attention, subject revision, homework assistance, and examination preparation for students who require additional academic guidance.
Recognizing that effective learning is closely linked to good health, Smiley Children Society also provides free dinner to students attending the tuition sessions. This initiative supports children’s nutritional needs while easing financial pressures on their families and encouraging regular participation in the program.
In addition to these initiatives, Smiley Children Society actively advocates for improving the quality of early childhood education. During educational seminars and school events, Prudhvi Moses has emphasized the importance of introducing activity-based learning, storytelling, educational games, and creative classroom practices in Anganwadi centres to make learning enjoyable and meaningful for young children.
The organization further supports schools by donating educational materials, classroom equipment, and learning resources whenever possible. These contributions help teachers create interactive and engaging classrooms that encourage curiosity and active participation among students.
As Smiley Children Society continues to strengthen its presence across Andhra Pradesh, it remains committed to expanding educational access, supporting children’s overall development, and fostering stronger partnerships with schools, volunteers, and local communities. Through its sustained efforts, the organization is helping build a future where every child has the opportunity to receive quality education and realize their full potential.
